Easter Weekend

We went to Linn for Easter. We left on Wednesday, so that we could spend some extra time there and see Neil as much as possible. Since he works at Legends Bank now, he is already living in Linn. We stayed until today and had a very busy (but fun) schedule. Paige seemed to enjoy herself quite a bit (once we got past the car ride there).

On Friday we took a trip to Jefferson City with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Abby. We had some errands to run and we did some shopping at Old Navy. Paige decided to slip my watch off of my wrist and chew on it while we were in the car!

After Old Navy, we went to the bookstore...Paige likes being carried by Grandpa!

There was a train set in the bookstore that Paige really loved!
She would laugh hysterically when her grandpa pushed one of the train cars over the hill and it would crash into another one.
Here is a better pic to show how hard she was laughing.
Breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa's. Don't you wish you were this happy at 8 a.m.?!
Paige is nine months old today...look at those cute chompers!Paige always gets real comfy and puts her feet up on her tray during meals...we think it's hilarious!
We got to visit with Claire and Macy...what a treat. They recently moved back to Missouri from the Florida Keys.
Paige got a hold of her daddy's shoes in this picture...if there are shoes on the floor, she will find them...and eat them if you don't get to her quickly!
Trying out the swing for the first time...she was a little scared!
We visited Grandma and Grandpa's cows!
Paige really loves the cows!
We played with Grandma's kitty!
We took a walk down to the creek with some of the family!
Paige found a nice rock to take a rest on!!Getting a closer look at the water!

Paige is participating in her first Easter egg hunt...well, kind of!
Here is Paige with her cute "shy smile"
Here we are again!
Looking for more eggs. Another shy smile...or is she thinking? She is probably wondering why in the world we hide eggs and then go out and find them in the chilly weather!
Just thought this was a cute Easter picture by the flower.

Last Day at Gymboree

Today was Paige's last day at Gymboree. Paige is really going to miss Parachute and Bubble time...but I have memorized the songs and bought lots of bubbles to take with us to Linn. Now, I just have to purchase a parachute that we can play with...does anyone know where I can get one?
Here is Paige's class (Level 2: 6-10 months old)...we are going to miss everyone so much.

Back Ride

Paige has taken a liking to back-rides around the house...we just woke up this morning, so we look a little rough...isn't motherhood grand...you can give 8 a.m. back-rides!

Gymboree Fun

Paige had some great fun at Gymboree today. Daddy came with us to join in on the fun and Aunt Jill and Mikael dropped by too. Paige definitely had the biggest crowd today...I am sure that she felt really special and had a great time!

Visiting the Davis Family

Paige and I went to visit our Davis friends today. Will was very excited to see Paige at his house...and he was eager to play.
Paige doesn't put puzzles together yet, but man does she like to put the knobs in her mouth!
Heather and Eddie made dinner while we were there and it was scrumptious! We left a little after 8:00, so the kids got their PJ's on and we took this cute pic! Doesn't Lane look cute in his stripes...such a little man!

First Visit to the Eye Doctor

I took Paige to the eye doctor today. There is a program called InfantSEE that allows children ages 6-12 months old to get a free eye exam to make sure the eyes are developing correctly. We went to Dr. Ryan Powell at Insight Eye Care, and he was just fabulous with Paige...he either has kids or he must have younger siblings because he was that good!! Anyway, Paige did wonderful and she got a great report from the doc. She does have a little bit of farsightedness, but Dr. Powell said that it's normal for an infant.

Paige thought this was a really cool chair..she wanted to stand up, of course!

Paige got to sit on my lap for her exam...Dr. Powell even took a picture for us...wasn't that thoughtful (I didn't ask, he actually offered)!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Paige and I are enjoying this wonderful day today...the weather is amazing!! It is 76 degrees...and it feels even warmer than that to me. Paige and I went for a walk today (I got a little toasty during that) and we played outside in the backyard (in the shade). So we have had a lot of fun. We hope that you are having an excellent St. Patrick's Day, too!

When we first got outside, Paige acted a little shy about what she was supposed to do sitting on that blanket...adorable!After a bit, she decided to begin playing with her balls from Gymboree. She had never lifted them up above her head like that before today...she was a real hoot to watch.

Just another cute picture...I couldn't leave it out.
Here Paige is discovering the grass...she kept crawling to different sides of the blanket to touch it, but she wouldn't crawl onto it.
She pulled some grass up and began inspecting it...pretty funny...until she tried to eat it!

Brookside Parade

Paige saw her first parade today. We went with our friends, Susan and Oliver, to watch the St. Pat's parade in Brookside. Paige and Oliver both loved it.

Paige was kicking her feet, moving her arms, and squealing throughout the whole thing. I had no idea she would like it so much. We stayed for an hour and a half before we had to leave (It wasn't over yet, but Paige was hungry!).

We had just found our spot on the curb and we were waiting for the parade to start!

Paige really liked listening to this bag pipe band!Paige and Oliver are watching the band as they continue to walk by us! Here we are with Susan and Oliver!

Eight Months Old

Paige is eight months old today, and so is her friend, Kamden. We had group today, so I was able to get a few pictures of them together. It is actually very hard to take pictures of them because all they want to do is look at each other and touch each other. So, Michelle and I had to hold them...it was pretty funny!

Paige didn't gain any weight this week...she is exactly the same as last Wednesday (15 pounds and 9.5 ounces.) I am guessing it may be from all the crawling that she is doing or because we traveled over the weekend...who knows!

Here I am with the girls...Kamden would rather look at Paige than the camera!!

Now Kamden is looking at the camera, but Paige is crying because she wants to get up...right this instant, Mommy!!

Here are the girls with Michelle, and they are both actually looking at the camera (or at least in that direction) by some miracle!!

Parents as Teachers Visit

Our Parent Educator, Jeannie, came to visit us today. She brought lots of fun "toys" for Paige to try out, and Paige showed Jeannie all of the new stuff she has learned to do in the last two months (crawl, pull up to stand, and walk with assistance). Jeannie was very impressed with all that she can do...she even said that Paige may be an early walker...AAAHHH! (I am not ready for that!)

Jeannie also did a hearing and vision screening while she was here, and Paige passed them both, so that's great!!

Paige is showing Jeannie how she can walk.

Standing Unassisted!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Paige stood for several seconds on her own this morning. It all happened when she was playing on the living room floor. First, she leaned over her toy basket to pick something out that she couldn't reach, so she stood up to get it. Then, she must have decided that she didn't want the toy and wanted to stand all the way up because next she let go of the basket and just stood there...for several seconds!! I started shrieking, "Oh my goodness Paige you are standing up!" and she just looked up at me and started to whine...because she was so surprised too! What an amazing moment!! I am so glad I got to see that...this is why I love being a stay at home mommy!!
