Easter Playdate at Macey's House
We were invited to Laurie and Macey's house for an Easter playdate. The Maschler family was there too which was really great because we were so happy to spend some time with the twins!
The playdate was a lot of fun! Laurie planned a really awesome Easter egg hunt for the girls. Each of them got to find a certain number of eggs and a special large egg that had her name on it.

Getting ready to start the hunt...the anticipation is building!
Paige found the egg with her name on it! Here are the girls opening their eggs to see what treasures are inside!

Peeking in at one of the twins as the Maschler's were preparing to leave. Right after this, Paige proceeded to rock the car seat and sing rock-a-bye-baby. It was super cute!

Coloring Easter Eggs
Paige had a blast coloring Easter eggs today. We decorated two different ways: traditional dying and tie-dying with paint. To tie dye with paint, we just drop colored paint into bags and rub it all over the egg. Paige really liked to do this, but the eggs didn't come out as pretty as the traditionally dyed ones.

Playdate with Nora
Paige had a friend over to our house today. Her name is Nora and Paige was super excited to have her come play...I just wish that she was as excited to share her things with Nora. I know it is a learning process, but she really had a hard time and I was a tad embarassed.
Paige and Nora did have fun together, though. Their favorite activity was pushing each other in the Cozy Coupe. They also thoroughly enjoyed me pushing them really fast from the kitchen to the living room!

Playdate at Kacey's House
We went to Kacey's house today for a little playdate. Heather was watching Macey for Laurie, while she and Lyla went to the doctor, so Paige and I thought we'd go over for some fun! I took the girls for a walk in the wagon...which was not an easy feat in that hilly neighborhood, but it was enjoyable!

A Beautiful St. Patty's Day
Today was an absolutely amazing day, so Paige and I headed out to meet some friends at Riverside park. Paige loves Riverside park and playing with her friends (there were several from playgroup), so she had a great time! Plus, we couldn't have asked for better weather...please hurry up spring...we have really missed you!!
"No, no, no, Mommy, I can do it myself!" This is what I hear every time that Paige is climbing up the ladder...she is just too big for help these days!

Tie-Dye Fun
Paige and I went to Yo-Yums today with our playgroup in Jeff City. We got to eat some yummy frozen yogurt and tie-dyed a headband!
Paige ate her staple favorite: chocolate. She topped it off with some chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles. I had some delicious cookies and cream yogurt...you wouldn't believe how good that was...and pretty guilt free!!
Paige enjoyed the tie-dying process as much as eating the yogurt (or maybe even more). Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of her actually doing the tie-dying (since I was helping)...but here she is in her apron and gloves (the apron went all the way to her shoes)! Fun, Fun!!

Linn's Little Cheerleader
Linn played against Fatima tonight, so we thought it was the perfect opportunity for Paige to wear her new cheerleading outfit that Grandma Loethen made for her! We weren't sure if it was going to fit, but it was perfect.
Paige was so excited when she got it on...she kept saying, "Go Wildcats!" We also taught her to say beat Fatima. She said both of these periodically throughout the game and clapped wildly along with the crowd! We got her doing this on video, but I have been experiencing trouble uploading videos to my blog for some time now, so I am not even going to try. I regret that I am not able to share this extreme 'cuteness' with you!
By the way, Linn won the game...Paige's cheering surely had an impact! :) Yay!

Pearly Whites
Paige had her first dental visit today. Her daddy had an appointment, so we decided to take Paige along to see Dr. Barnhart, too! Paige was super excited about this; she has been asking to see the dentist since I went to my last check-up in July.
To prepare Paige for what to expect, we read her book Barney Goes to the Dentist beforehand. We have read this book several times before, but we thought it would be a good idea to refresh her memory. Paige really loves this book and was so excited to talk about all the things that she would be doing today that were also happening in the book.

Here is Paige waiting for her turn...her daddy is in the dental chair right now!

Big Girl Bed
Paige graduated to her big-girl bed today! She was super excited about the switch...actually all we did was take off the front of her bed, so now it is like a day bed. We thought we had a guard-rail in with our conversion kit to make it more of a toddler bed, but we were mistaken. It seems we only have the conversion kit to make it into a full size bed (we won't be needing that for a while), and I found out it costs an extra $89 for the guardrail...jeez!!
Anyway, Paige loves her new bed. When she saw it for the first time without the front crib rail she exclaimed, "Oh Daddy, it is so beautiful!" and then she climbed in and laid down. Of course, we had to take some photos of that...here is our big girl!

Halloween Surprise
When we checked our mail today Paige received a special surprise from her Aunt Jill and Uncle Mikael. Paige was super excited to get some mail of her very own. This excitement intensified as she opened the package and discovered what was inside...her Aunt Jill knows her very well!
Pumpkin Carving
Paige and I spent some time this afternoon gearing up for Halloween by carving a pumpkin. We decided to go with a cat this year...actually it is called 'cosmic kitty' in the pattern book. He has a bit of an evil look to him, but Paigey still liked him.
Amazingly, Paige enjoyed the pumpkin carving this year. She was not completely terrified of the 'guts' like she was last year. As we began to clean out our pumpkin last Halloween, she ran away when she saw me scoop some of the 'guts' out and then watched from afar. Today was different; she actually stood close by, examined the 'guts', scooped some out herself, (using a scooper, though, not her hands) and even helped me carve a little bit! It was a lot of fun!
Paige took this picture of me...she did a pretty good job!
Happy with the finished product!
All lit up!

Brandt's Dairy Farm Tour
Paige and I went on a tour of a dairy farm today. Paige's grandma, Kathy, invited us to go along with her. Paige was pretty excited to see cows, although she sees them every time she goes over to her grandma and grandpa's house. However, they don't have dairy cows, they have Herefords. So, seeing how cows are milked was a new experience for her (and me too!). BTW, my camera date got reset somehow, so the date is wrong on all my pics...but I am sure you would have figured that out since it is definitely not 2005 :)

This looks a little painful, but it didn't seem to bother the cows at all!
